ABOUT QIA.......
Qatar Indian Association for football (QIA), a forum of Indian expatriates in Qatar has been formed in 2013 to promote Football among the Indian expatriates to fulfill the host country’s objective in establishing Qatar as an International Sports hub. Subsequently QIA realized the necessity of having a common platform for other games and sporting activities to represent our home country India. QIA expanded its horizon by inducting sports loving people from other states of India and operating as face of the entire Indian expatriate community to represent Indians for participating in various International events of Qatar Football Association (QFA) and other Sports body of the State of Qatar. To project the importance of sports & Games in the daily life and healthy living.................
ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT.........
The main sports event of QIA is the QIA Champions League – All India Football Tournament, as part of QIA’s objective to promote football in Qatar in line with the QFA and SC’s requirement, the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT has been introduced in 2013 having various teams from Indians community in Qatar. The tournament is organized every year which is being considered as a signature Sports event of the Indian community to provide a forum for the collective work to promote Sports & games in the Indian community residing in Qatar.
